Joseph V. Bonafede

Joseph V. Bonafede began his professional career in the early 80's as a technician providing a wide range of security and communications systems to the private sector. Joe became a NYC Corrections Officer and was responsible for installing and maintaining the security systems, metal detection and property-scanning systems for the NYC Dept. of Corrections. He was recognized for his design of elaborate security systems for the Maritime Facility and many others. Joe then joined the New York City Police Department and quickly rose the rank of Detective 2nd Grade where he was involved in all areas of technology from covert installation of recording devices, cellular tracking, product development, to building NYPD's citywide microwave network. With over 25 years of unparalleled experience in the electronic security field, Joe retired from the NYPD to pursue his own endeavors. His outstanding achievements have been recognized nationally with notable awards from NYPD, US Marshall Service, US Secret Service, DEA, IRS, US Postal Service, New York State Police as well as many other Law Enforcement agencies.
